The North-South Corridor will feature four main sections: a 6km Community-Industrial segment, a 7km Ecological Loop, a 5km People’s Wellness Corridor, and a 3.5km Cultural-Heritage Segment with over 20 highlights.
As a national initiative, the project will be co-designed with local communities through public engagement sessions. It aligns with Singapore’s City in Nature vision by connecting neighborhoods via new walking and cycling paths, integrating with existing parks, and enhancing urban ecosystems.
The corridor will reflect local culture and heritage, creating adaptable public spaces for community needs. A new public square at Rochor Road will connect Little India, Kampong Gelam, and Albert Street, with dedicated pathways for pedestrians, cyclists, and public transport.
